Simple Project 2

Minimalism is a concept that many people practice these days in both their personal and professional environments. Characterised by clean lines, a monochromatic palette accented with one’s favourite colours (or brand colours for office spaces), good lighting and functional furniture, minimalist designs focus on only several essential elements.
For this project, our design catchphrase is form-focused bare essentials—for an office space, we believe the key is to make it simple, organised, and uncluttered. With less visual clutter, there will also be less mental clutter, which will be conducive to better concentration and higher productivity. However, it is a fine line between a minimalist design that is both welcoming and comfortable, and one that seems emotionless with clean, white walls and basic furniture littered here and there.
To make the space seem more welcoming, we incorporate warm browns in the walls and flooring or as an accent in furniture to complement the brand’s navy blue brand palette that is both regal and soothing. To accentuate a sense of openness and cordiality, we use full-length windows to divide spaces and to let more light into the office. There are also strategically placed indoor plants to elevate the look and feel of the office without taking away from the minimalist impact.
